It was with a heavy heart that we pressed pause on the parade last year, but we are beyond ecstatic to be hard at work currently planning our comeback. We all need a double dose of holiday cheer, so we are working to create the biggest parade ever! Join us for the holiday fun!
The 68th Annual Carolina Carillon Holiday Parade presented by Nephron will be held Saturday, December 4th, 2021 featuring festive holiday entries from all across the state of South Carolina!
This South Carolina Holiday Tradition will begin at 9:45 a.m. at Sumter Street and Laurel and proceeding down Sumter toward the historic Horseshoe, ending on Senate Street.
WIS-TV begins live statewide coverage of the parade at 10 a.m. from their broadcasting area, located on the corner of Sumter and Gervais, across the street from the State House. This telecast reaches over 40 counties in South Carolina as the Carillon is considered not only the Capital City's premier parade, but The Official Holiday Parade of South Carolina.
With nearly 100 entries, last year's Carillon featured a number of festive entries, including The Benedict College "Band of Distinction" and the Pelion High School Marching Band, Capital City Cloggers, and the traditional holiday entry from the Columbia City Ballet. This year there will be some very special SC celebrities, new marching bands, drill teams, local churches, dozens of beautiful floats, and of course, the most exciting part of the parade, Santa Claus!
